About Jonathan Stettin

Jonathan and Past the Wire have a weekly segment on The It’s Post Time Radio show with JJ and Samm Graci. Jonathan has also been a guest on the Dave Johnson and Bill Finley radio show, Down the Stretch, and Pass the Buck with Buck Grottano. He’s also appeared on Racetrackers with Bill Gottimer, and was a regular handicapper and analyst on The Elite Racing Network. In addition to writing his weekly Past the Wire column, Jonathan also writes features for US Racing. Jon absorbed a lot in those early years at Saratoga, and it brought him up close and personal with some great horses, notably Ruffian, Secretariat, Seattle Slew, Slew O’ Gold, Forego, and many others. Jonathan has developed Past the Wire into a highly respected and leading column in The Sport of Kings. His Tracking Trips is a useful tool in the arsenal of many handicappers and horse players.

Justify: A Triple Crown Tainted? By Nick D'Agostino     In light of the recent developments or perhaps allegation being the more accurate word, The Triple Crown of Justify will likely be forever tainted. This is unfortunate for the Sport of Kings because at this point we do not know [...]

TO LISTEN OR NOT TO LISTEN, FOR UNITY!

2019-09-12T07:46:04-05:00September 12th, 2019|

TO LISTEN OR NOT TO LISTEN, FOR UNITY!  If an impartial observer were to comment on the state of horse racing today, it is not inconceivable they would conclude the horse racing industry is intent on manufacturing its own demise. The tragic developments within racing in recent months have given [...]
