The headline reads like a bad joke. When you own the Kentucky Derby you have a very big stick to swing around, but in the end it is what you do with it that counts. Do you do what is best for the game, which ultimately includes you, or do you do what you think might be best for you and you alone in the short term? I think the answer here is evident, and this is an exercise in futility and is doomed to fail. Let’s hope it isn’t too much of an inconvenience for the bettors. Some of us they they actually count.
