Jockey Rajiv Maragh Heading West

After being contacted by agent Nelson Arroyo jockey, Rajiv Maragh, the current comeback jockey of the year has decided to move his tack to Southern California for the opening of Santa Anita the day after Christmas.

Rajiv Maragh is a Breeders’ Cup winning rider who has enjoyed success in New York and on the big stage. He returned from a near career ending back injury and is working hard to get back into the upper echelon of riders. Nelson may be just the agent to help him do that.

Nelson was instrumental and a force in resurrecting his brother Norberto’s career which saw him win the riding title at the Del Mar Bing Crosby meet last year, and ride two horses on Dubai World Cup night. Norberto is currently recuperating from a broken leg, and it is expected Nelson will represent both riders down the line.
